Purpose

The Council is established to represent State Classified employees at Colorado State University and to serve as the liaison between employees and the University as a whole. Issues that affect the role, image and status of State Classified employees may be considered by the Council. The Council is also charged to recommend to the President, through his designee, proposals designed to define, promote, improve and protect the role of State Classified employees at Colorado State University.

School Is Cool

As the School is Cool program enters its 17th year, it continues to be a much-needed community outreach program. Colorado State University employees manage and organize the program to provide school supplies to less fortunate students in the Poudre School District. Besides ensuring the students have the supplies they need, the program strives to build self-esteem – an important factor to academic success.

There are four ways you can be a part of School Is Cool!

 Donate $20 to sponsor one backpack. Make checks payable to School Is Cool and send your donation to: Colorado State University Foundation, 410 University Services Center, 9100 Campus Delivery.

 Use the supply list on the School Is Cool website or in the flyer and shop for supplies on your own. Please mark the grade level on the filled backpack and bring it to Newsom Hall on Wednesday, August 6th, between 9 AM and noon.

 Become a department representative. You will devote a few hours to becoming a voice for the children. There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, July 8th at 10 AM in the Gibbons Building, Conference Room 101. To participate as a representative, call 1-0005 or email Toni Scofield by July 3rd.
